I've built a dynamic career in digital education developing environments that blend a broadly conceived definition of play and technology. Following years of international experience bridging my PhD research and industry practice, my work connects theory and practice across music, education, gaming and aging with a strong emphasis on creativity and user-centered design. My professional background is strengthend by my artistic expertise and innovations: I am a recording artist with Steinway & Sons specializing in music improvisation and interpretation-based live performances. I'm also an inventor of globally-patented technologies advancing digital learning through tactile, visual and audio interfaces. Currently, I'm a senior researcher at the University of Turku (Department of Economics), visiting researcher at the University of Helsinki (Department of Education) and project translator as a postdoctoral researcher at University of Jyväskylä (Department of Music, Arts and Culture Studies).
